[fplusk] is a strategic design cooperative of

Jörn Frenzel and Falk Kagelmacher.

Jörn Frenzel (Dipl.Ing.Arch, TU Berlin), born in Berlin, Germany, is a registered architect with 15 years of experience in practice. After design assistant positions in Hong Kong and Berlin, Joern worked as project architect in London, Berlin and Moscow before co-founding the ongoing strategic design project vatanvinir Iceland in 2008. The architecture and design practice eyLAND vatnavinir emerged out of the NGO vatnavinir in 2010. Joern has published a number of articles in international architecture magazines and books and appeared as a co-writer in re-enchanter le monde, editions alternatives Paris in 2014 alongside authors such as Christopher Alexander, Alejandro Aravena and Teddy Cruz.

Jörn was nominated for the Moscow-based Iakov Chernikhov International Prize 2014.Vatnavinir received the prestigious Global Award for Sustainable Architecture from Locus Foundation in Paris in 2011.


Falk Kagelmacher

As an international educated architect, Falk Kagelmacher has gained more than 20 years of professional experience mostly in international projects. For seven years, he worked as a full-time consultant to the China Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MoHURD). He received the China National Documentary Film Award for his project at the Ministry in “Community in Transition”. He held a number of exhibitions on his Urban Documentary Photography and serves as a lecturer for Universities in Germany and China.

Today, he offers his experience in Architecture, international project cooperation and communication for a number of public and private clients.
